Love is the greatest of the theses

This week I want to start off with some verses, If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have to the poor, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but do not have love, I gain nothing.   Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;  it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.  So now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.  1 Corinthians 13:1 -‬13 With all that is going on in the world, all the protest and hate you can see when you turn on the tv, it’s not just now, there has always been a lot of hate and problems in this world since the fall. But it seems to me it’s been worse lately. Which is why I think we need to be reminded of the words spoken by the spirit through the Apostle Paul. I mean just read these verses, they could be so powerful  if we would earnestly look at them. He says basically if we do anything but do not have love, then it is like we have done nothing. He is saying even if I had the faith to move a mountain, but have no love, then I have done nothing. Love goes beyond even time, there was love before there was time and there will be love even after there is not time. So this week as we go throughout our daily lives let’s take time to show the love of Christ and remember that we are here to show the love of Jesus to others.
